Unsure if knockoff Magpul MBUS
Hey, so I'm in the market for some RS Magpul MBUS2, and recently came across a seller with a set. He states that they are brand new and all that, but the picture provided shows the two sights with a Magpul box behind them. Now its an iphone pic so the quality isn't the best, but the box has a Green strip on the left side instead of the PTS Orange and has MBUS in large letters on the front, with a small Magpul Back-up Sight underneath. The thing that is setting off flags is that I had always thought that RS Magpul came in bags with a cardboard section stapled to the top. I'm not sure is this is normal for a set, but I couldn't seem to find anything after googling it. I would rather not get hosed for $100+ if I can help it, so I figured I would see if anyone here had experience with this.
Thanks Chris,

I can't say for sure if they are real or fake. I know my PTS MBUS sights came in the small white and orange PTS branded box. Now these were the version one PTS MBUS sights so maybe they changed the packaging for the version two ones.
For $100 I would just say get the real steel MBUS sights so you know what you are getting. They can be had for just under $100 at One Shot Tactical. |

Thanks guy, I would just go with OST but they are out of stock on black atm, and with the current panic buying both here and in the states, Im worried that they might not be getting a shipment any time soon.

I thought they couldn't be shipped internationally due to ITAR restrictions.

You can go through brownells, there is an exemption to Canadians for $100 or lower, assuming that the dealer is setup to do it. There still are declarations done, but those are from the vendor side. (There is a $1,200 per annum limit, so don't start thinking you can become some sly importer either... or just a gear-whore)
