Also been here for 3+ years lurking about. But your the first welcome post so thanks!

I am not too worried about refilling after every magazine loading. I figured that would be the case, but getting a consistent one magazine's worth of BB's would be just fine for me.

Interesting, what are your opinions on the compatibility of the outer barrel assembly to be swapped out?

So is it KJ internals that are the problem or their mag valves?

It really depends on the brand of the outer barrel you're swapping in. Before the ILLusion Kinetics fixed outer barrels were on the market, I was repairing KP-05's, which were notorious for having the slide hang on the outer barrel due to loose manufacturing tolerances. The only reliable fix I'd found at that time, was to install Shooters Design two piece stainless steel outer barrels (made for Marui Hi-Capa 5.1), with a spring loaded mechanism fabricated to the assembly to auto-tilt the barrel upon rearward movement of the slide. I suppose it is thanks to the very loose tolerances, that the few times I did this fix, it went without a hitch and no additional modification to the slide or to the barrel was required to get the gun to function.

So... with that said, yes, the outer barrel assembly *should* be compatible, but it's hard to guarantee, as some barrel manufacturers have slightly different dimensions.

To be honest, I don't know, as I haven't seen this exact problem before with the KJW KP-0X's that have crossed my path - most were able to get a minimum of 25 rounds out.

For what it's worth, when I fill mags, I fill them until backflow starts spraying out (Marui mags), or in the case of KJW mags which are fairly silent, I just listen very closely until the sound of the liquid propane transferring begins to slow down and eventually stop.

Filling based on time is insufficient, in my opinion... and if I honestly can't hear anything, I'll hold the gas tank to the magazine for a full 30 seconds for Hi-Capa sized mags.

That is exactly why I asked, since your product has such great reviews, I was leaning to that option.

Not now though, money is tight due to Christmas, but the sooner the better.

Not a problem, and I understand. I don't want to see my credit card bill next month. This year's been so hectic. lol.

For what it's worth, I haven't tried the ILLusion Kinetics barrel in the KP-0X pistols, so I don't know for certain it will work. However, because of the way the barrel functions, it shouldn't be difficult to get it to work if there is any restriction in movement.

I'll be the guinea pig in that case. I'll probably shoot you a PM mid/late January.
