Aeg bolt catch not pulling far enough?
Has anyone experienced with a aeg, that had a working bolt catching but eventually didnt work anymore because the bolt catch does not pull far enough? How do i fix it? I've been experimenting it for the whole night and realised its missing barely 3mm of extra pull for the bolt catch. By the catch bolt, i mean the "bullet cover" looking. It works perfectly if i use a screw driver to push it a bit further back.
i have a VFC SR635 Thank you! IMG 1349 - YouTube

In the vertigo inducing video I can't see what you're using the screwdriver on.

If you take the upper receiver off the problem should present itself.

I actually used pliers to push the bullet cap back and then it'll lock. I did take the upper receive off in order to understand. It feels like the bolt catcher plastic rod that pulls the bullet cap seems to have worn out or something therefore not pushing the bullet cap far enough?

The charging handle pulls the ornamental bolt back.
When the bolt has traveled backward far enough the bolt catch pops up and holds it. You have either a damaged charging handle, ornamental bolt. or bolt catch.

Buy-able sure, & they are even fixable usually.
Maybe something is just bent or derailed or otherwise out of whack in the body.

i never disassembled the other part of the gun (grip , outerbarrel part, upper receiver part , ectt) i did take out the upper and pulled the charging handle to see whats up. All i can figure out is that the charging handle pulls to the max but when it pulls to the max, it does not pull the catching bolt along with it to the max. Ill take a video soon.
thank you for your replies.
