Contras Mini Review - LBT 1195J Riverine
Well, new rig, this will not be much of a review, as this rig is brand new and I have yet to use it.
This is a London Bridge Trading 1195 Riverine, in Woodland. Here are some manufacturer’s technical stats for it "LBT Riverine Rifleman's Vest The London Bridge Riverine Rifleman's Vest was developed for hard use by Naval Special Warfare operators. It has been made especially for use during waterborne operations around a removable foam flotation core. The flotation core not only prevents the weight of your heavy battle gear from taking you under but it also happens to very effectively distribute the weight of even the heaviest load. On the front on the vest are four universal magazine pouches that close with either velcro fasteners or fastex buckles. Each of these pouches can be used for magazines that fit a multitude of weapons systems or other field use items like radios or a sidearm. Along the sides of the vest and to the rear are two utility pockets and two all-purpose canteen covers, each of which are permanently attached to the heavy duty cordura nylon weight bearing foundation, just like the magazine pouches up front. The utility pouches have a removeable elastic gate system so you can quickly place items (spent magazines, PIR, contraband, etc.) into the pouch without worrying about whether or not they will fall back out. On the back of the vest, there is a built-in butt pack with dual pop flare holders as well as a 1 1/2 inch swim fin retention strap (this works great to secure any item that you need kept out of the way)" The vest is adjustable at the back through this paracord, it can grow pretty big, but it can also accommodate smaller people, I’m no more than 31 in waist, and this rig fits me just fine. These are the floatation pads, not really useful in airsoft, but as far as I know they are suppose to helping you be more buoyant in situations involving water. This rig has 2 built in dump pouches, one in each side, they can of course be converted into regular pouches by removing the black elastic material, which is connected through snap buttons, personally, I love built in dumps, just makes life easier. |

What a steal, but the buckles need a good misting of OD. How do you find the Riverline to the conventional chest rigs that are out in the market Yuxi? I remember trying on an ISAAK, and it felt somewhat more comfortable (weight distribution wise), but also felt less low profile, due to the shear girth of the the dump pouches and mag pouches.

well, honestly, I bought the rig with the intention of resale, Im a big fan of chest rigs, and have almost exclusively used them for more than 2 years now. Riverine on the other hand, is quite a rig, I really like having the load balanced out like this, the padding makes the rig very comfortable, and since it doesnt cover up my chest, well, more air flow, Im no fan of heat, so this makes is quite pleasing to me. |

Ha, ya got one ya bugger! I just traded mine, but it's one hell of a rig. LBT makes some pretty bomb proof stuff. Nice rig for long all day/night games.

How's the weight distribution on it? Does it put most/all of the weight on the shoulders or does it distribute it evenly throughout the upper torso? I've had the...displeasure to use the airsoft version made by Guarder and i'm certain that this is millions of times better. I just want to know about the weight distribution. Nothing is worse than having all of the weight on a certain part of the body.

Shinjit: hehe, I went be spraying this rig, this one is for sale/trade purposes. I prefer the Riverine to the chest harnesses Iv used before, simply because of the open back and front, so I dont get quite as hot as in the other rigs.
Rexter: Yeah, I finally managed to snatch one, took a while Trixter: The weight is fairly even distributed from what I can tell, thing is, I have yet to game with it, wearing a rig at home for 10 minutes does not really tell you much, gotta be out there running around with it for a few hours to really know, and I have not done that with this rig yet, sorry. |

i wore one fully done out for a milsim and the weight was never a problem. It got to the point you almost didn't know it was on. Probably one of the most comfortable rigs I have worn, and I would highly recommend it.
