Importing slides and customs

Hello,

Just a quick question for those who have ordered slides for GBBs in the past.

Im looking to build a hi capa hybrid gun and am just curious. Has anyone had to pay duties or customs taxes on their slides? I just want to be aware before ordering some expensive parts.

Im trying to buy this slide:

If you know anyone one that has one in country shoot me a pm! Id greatly appreciate it.

Thank you,

Jordan

slides are fine, ive brought back a couple gbb slides in my check in before, its the lower frame you have to be worried about lol but tbh the lower frame of a hi capa looks like a chunk of metal so should be ok imo never tried the frame tho

Getting hit by customs taxes is hit and miss -- although if your order is under $100 declared value, you typically won't have to pay brokerage fees. However, this is assuming your order is shipped by the country's primary postal operator. Using UPS, Fedex, DHL, etc. you will certainly be charged for brokerage.

I did have to pay for brokerage for my 5.11 slide, though it was part of a $400 order from WGC Shop. Other purchases for low dollar amounts pass through with no hassle.

Thanks for the post guys. Yes I understand receivers and prohibited length barrels are a no go.

I just wanted to know if there would be customs fees involved so I can cost out a project accordingly. Im trying to see if its worth it to build my dream gun. Justifying $200 to the misses is not to big a challenge. 250+ well thats a little harder.

Your telling me about UPS. I had to learn the hard way buying a knife from the states. Those dickheads at UPS wanted 50% of the value of the knife. Although I did talked them down from $45 in brokerage to give me 10 refund. And then called and complained and got them to give me another $10 back. But still fuck UPS.

Sorry, another quick question:

This hybrid barrel should be fine correct? Shouldnt have any problems since it is just a piece of steel afterall.
