The RIS is always a little loose on any M4 even real steel but, if it is to loose for your liking give us a photo showing how loose it is. Maybe there is a loose bolt or something we can help you with. (Sorry I don't know to much about M4's the MK16 is my gun of choice.)

Your delta ring shouldn't be loose. If it wobbles, it probably needs tightening
It should be pressed flush up against the base of your clam shell RIS by a spring. If it's crooked, one of the hand guard halves might be misaligned. If your RIS/RAS is one piece, then your delta ring shouldn't move at all. If you still have questions, post a picture. |

So you say the barrel nut is tight. The delta ring is just loose as in not tight and springy? If that's the case buying a new delta ring spring should fix it.
This is more or less what your front end should look like http://www.militaryphotos.net/forums...=1#post1433095 , the front of the handguard against the front ring at the triangle sight and the delta ring fit against it by the spring tension from the delta ring spring. Note that you can't use a whole real steel delta ring assy due to the different thread pitch on airsoft vs real steel (except for G&P uppers which use a real steel thread pitch). However you should be able to use the delta ring and spring part if you manage to get your hands on one. They should be fairly cheap, for the whole assy you're looking at like $20-25 at a gun store and just ditch the barrel nut and use the ring and spring.

So it seems the spring behind the delta rind broke, but luckily i found something that is working pretty well. I simply wrapped the ris with a gear clamp and tightened it down. I was then able to slide the delta ring over the ends of the ris, with a small amount of force. It seems to be wedged on there pretty tight, and the ris now is rock solid, even with a vertical foregrip
