Communication devices.

I'm looking to get two(obviously) Communication devices. Radios, throat Communicator, stuff like that. Where would be a good affordable place to get them?

Go to Canadian Tire outdoors section. Point at the color you want to the nice man with the key to open the case. He'll take it to the cash for you.

.... ?????

Profit!

A decent set up would cost ~250-300 for one. Puxing-888 with a ebay banned PTT and headset. I wouldn't touch Cavalvy headsets/PTTs.

But it depends on what you want to use it for. The moto talkabouts are usually fine. I wouldn't want to bet my life on them though

If you're looking for a throat mic, like mentioned above, don't buy a cheap one. I started out with an iasus and liked it, but it didn't pick up my voice very well. So I went on to a devgru throat mic which is all around a better model. But you're looking at spending almost $200 for the throat mic with connector alone.

That gave me a good laugh. Thanks for the recommendation. I assume that 250 is PER person?

Thanks!! And thank you for taking the post in the tone I wanted to portray, ie playful!

Yeah but the $250 gets you kitted out with gear that you can take anywhere and do anything with from middle of BFN to Broadcasting through a PILE of concrete that set up can do it.

It's that whole you can have cheap, durable or good. Pick two.

Edit: If you need to kit out two people in a pinch I'll show you some options. Better to do it right once than buy twice.
