King arms m4, but $350 might not be a good price to start. Save more money so you can get the proper things to start like eye protection, vest, mags, bbs and a couple of more things. This will add up so make sure you got more money.

Wicked price on a wicked gun right here. http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=141470

Well within your budget assuming the 350 you mentioned is for the gun alone.

If he's not, then we don't have to worry about him seeing what that link leads to now do we? :P

I don't think there's any issues in recommending any gun even if not Age Verified, however we can't post to any store or guns and 18+ stuff like so.

DarkxKilla: The King Arms as stated already is most likely considered the starter gun by excellence. However, you'll want to get at least twice that money in order to start airsoft "for real", as you'll need to buy (beside the gun of course), a good battery and charger, boots, eye protection (mandatory for obvious reasons), some magazines for the gun, something to put your mags in like a vest with mag pouches, a canteen or hydration carrier (you need water on the field), and the likes.

The total can amount to 600+$ to a few thousands, depending on the brands and quality of stuff you buy. In general, you get what you pay for, sor pay for cheap stuff now, you'll buy again next year, and the total will exceed what you planned on spending. Exactly what happened to me. Last year I spent 800$ to start + a few more to get some more optional stuff.

This year, I bought another 800-1200$ of gear and accessories (a second gun in that too), and I want to change my cheap vest and pouches for a better one, etc etc...

Not everyone will do like so, and a lot will play for a while by spending just a minimum amount of money. But what I want to illustrate is that airsoft is expensive so you'll want to pile up some cash before getting into the game.

Also, another very important aspect (not of airsoft but of Airsoft Canada's forums) is to get Age Verified. The FAQ section will fill you in on this.

My first rifle that I purchased was a G&G CM-16 Raider (M4). I took my time trying to figure out if it would be a good purchase and what would work best for me as a starting rifle on my budget at the time. Mine was about $240 from the store I purchased it at, and many players on field I have talked to have said its a great choice for a starter rifle. I've even seen a few of these guys have one of these rifles as a backup in their vehicles. Being a bit shorter than a standard AR, it won't pack quite the same range, but the rifle holds its own and I haven't had a problem with anything about it for the several months that I have owned it.

That's my $.02 - the CM-16 may not be the best choice or prefered rifle by you or others, but just felt like throwing that out there as to what worked for me, an still does.

Like the others have said, once you get AV'd, many doors will open and a plethora of advice will become available to you. Im still waiting for my AV to be approved since I met the verifier a month+ ago. Lol. XD

*Edit: I also forgot to include that I agree with the above post by MultipleParadox. It is definately worth it to wait and have enough money for the rest of the rather important gear, such as a good mask or full seal goggles, and a vest or harness. I was able to purchase the rifle that I did because I had switched over from paintball, and already had the majority of gear that I would have needed to go along with the rifle. :3
