airsoft park's replica 5.11 bags

anyone order one of these? At half the price of a real 5.11 bag and free shipping, I'm tempted to order one... but I'm also leery of wearing a fake 5.11 label (not to mention quality)... just seems so fake.

well, just saying, you reap what you sow. Like what i am doing, I bought a condor back pack but i forgot the model name, the fabric is good but the plastic will fail if loaded with heavy items, and a slight step off a small height will break it, or just mine is an exception (hit or miss gear)... Plus the molle strips are horribly done, it do not even match, so if you are looking for a good priced tactical pack;
http://www.lapolicegear.com/lapg-operator-backpack.html
same function, great price and quality is assured

If the molle straps are done the same way as my vest, stay away from it. Chineses can't sew 1" loops properly apparently, a bunch of mine are too wide and quite a lot too tight so I can't even use them.

Yeap, looking to change my vest eventually :P

best be replacing it, I am thinking of retiring my pack and replacing it with a rucksack, anyways, I agree, on my condor pack, the strip are way to far apart, and I have a 5.11 1l canteen carrier and when ever I were to run, the pouch end up stabbing me in the back via it moving too much...

Just a note that 5.11 contracts out the production of their gear oversea's. The quality of "genuine" 5.11 gear is all over the place. Sometimes it's good or great, other times it can may be bad or awful depending on which production run or oversea's textile shop was doing the work.

As for the comment regarding MOLLE/PALS webbing, no where on the patent does it specify the 1" spacing. The 1 to 1.5" spacing has just adopted as an industry standard.

Sometimes Clone gear is NOT cheaper than the real deal (Some helmets). I bought a CONDOR softshell (summit) from an airsoft shop in town, I absolutely regret it. Cost about 120 dollars at 'retail', the jacket is now an emergency item in the trunk of my car. I found the same from another retailers in town for 40 dollars.

Anyways the point of the CONDOR jacket story is this. If the cloner site is selling for 1/2 the price of the genuine, you can probably find it for 1/3 or 1/4 the price of genuine if you dig deeper or try harder. My Bravo at special pricing was around 160 dollars, 40 bucks isn't a lot to pay to go from CONDOR quality to ARC'TERYX. I found a used BRAVO on a military forum in the 120 dollar range.

that's why I'm asking if anyone has seen/held the clone bag... as a counterfeit, it could have been the place that had the contract at some point just putting out the bag, exactly the same spec as 5.11 required.

The 5.11 rush 24 is about the size I'm looking for, the LAP gear bag looks to be almost a 3day pack.. That's a bit big for my liking, I'll be doubling it as a traveling carry on and around town bag, I want it light/small enough to travel with.

I've order from AirsoftPark 5.11 stuff before and its completely FAKE. Bad sewing job and shitty materials.

You mind as well save your cash and buy the real thing.

Don't buy clone gear.. it is not gear it is costume. Has all the appearance of being real gear with none of the substance..

as a rule.. it does not fit, does not function, and does not last..

just not worth the money, what are you saving if it is junk?

Also to add to that. I bought a fake 5.11 hat that was supposed to be one size fits all. Ya bullshit. The thing would only fit a small child. I dont even have a big head and I couldnt cram it on. Plus like techman said stitching was all over the place.

Moral of the story: Be careful of the sizes of clothes when you buy from asian retailers. Im asian myself and some of their stuff wont fit me.

I own a RUSH 12 and 72 ordered from LAPG. They are damn near bulletproof. The only downside is you don't know if you're going to get the new version or the old one.

I'm certain I can search for the answer, but I'm lazy :P

What's the difference between the old and new versions?

Yeah 5.11 bags are excellent, I own the Rush 24 in Sandstone and I absolutely love it! Feels great with a full load in it, is easy to organize, and can fit a lot of stuff in it.
