Need help fixing KWA KP45 Tactical
Hello everyone. I pulled out my KWA gbb pistol out a few weeks ago and discovered that it had almost no gas efficiency. I think one of the valves must have gone bad over the winter but I don't have a spare magazine to test in the gun so everything is speculation. I did some googling but couldn't find a definitive answer and I'm inexperienced with working on gbb's so any help would be greatly appreciated in helping me diagnose the problem. Thanks.

Did you store your magazine with a small bit of gas in it over the winter?

I believe so, I usually store the mag with some gas in it, but I can't say for sure.

The gas should be changed out every month if you don't use it. Your seals could be dried out. Inspect the valve - could just be dirty. Try soaking the valve in 100% pure silicon oil (important) for a few hours. Might need a new valve if its damaged.

I'm sorry RosettaStoned, but what valve are you referring to, in the magazine or blow-back unit?

There's only 2 valves on the magazine:
the knocker valve that releases the gas... hit it manually with your thumb to see if it will vent gas. The fill valve... you need a special tool to pull this out, both have orings. |

Ok well I guess the knocker valve works cause it did vent the gas I put in the mag.
