We pdw gbbr help!
Hello all! I just wanted to say I used airsoft canada for years of gathering high quality/accurate infromation about airsoft and I recently ran into something I could not google so I needed to create an account.
I just got my WE PDW this week. It shoots great other than the crazy hopup even with .25 bbs it is hopping them almost to a 90 degree angle where they start to go backwards. I cannot find how to adjust the stock hopup? I do plan on purchasing the hopup upgrade later but until then I need to know how to use this one. I took the upper reciever off and did not see anything that looked adjustable. Also if anyone knows what type of grease/lubrifucation to use for the spring rod. And if anyone knows any spots that are vital to keep greased up because I want to maintain this thing in top quality shape. I know people say metal on metal, but if anyone can tell me where specifically on this rifle because this rifle seems fairly simple. Thanks is advance everyone! |

here's a good question, do you have the open bolt or the closed bolt?

open bolt.... And I was wondering if they added some new feature to it.. Because inside there is plastic buffer for the blow back part so the lower reciever lasts longer as well very good body pins. I heard other people complain about no buffer and body pins that fall right out.
Sorry I'm new to GBBR but I am loving them already |

If you pull the bolt back and look inside. Between the two holes and the loading chamber you should see a ring with notches in it. That's your hop up adjustment, all the way left is hopup off and right is hopup on. Its a little tough to turn it the first time around.

Thank you very much that was helpful b/c m4 and pdw are so similiar..... But I have one more question. I completely took everything apart and put it back together. RE lubed everything and it is defeintely running smoother now. But still one major problem. It seems when I have the hopup turned all the way down (as far as it goes). It shoots bbs real flat and straight but by then fourth shot they are hopping up 90 degrees again. Does anyone know how to reconcile this? someone told me use .4 bb's would that work? Why is nt the hopup adjusting does anyone have experience with this?

Well just incase anyone in the future has this problem I just purchased some madbul .4 bbs and finally with the hop up all the way down this thing shoots .4's at a high speed and I haveconsistently shot 10 mags with not one bb over hopped. Hope this prevents some people some headaches that this gave me.
