Maruzen M1100 Defender
I was wondering if anyone knew any sites where aftermarket parts could be purchased for this Shotty? I can't seem to find any internal parts, all i can find is a Zeke Metal Frame for it. Which is ridiculous because it costs more than the gun itself lol. Any help would be appreciated!

Well there aren't many aftermarket parts to start with for the M1100. Even the shotgun itself tends to be a rare item. There has been a more recent flood of M870/CA870 parts but because the 1100 is quite a bit different they most likely don't interchange with each other.
Besides it's also a shotgun, what kind of aftermarket parts are you looking for? These shotguns are pretty much point and click type guns.

Most of the external stuff is cross compatible between the CA870, M1100 and gas 870. As to internal stuff, there really isn't anyone making upgrade stuff.
The internals of the gas 1100 and 870 are so badly done that nearly everything has to be upgraded for durability. The shell carrier for the 870 breaks frequently. The bolt and blowback bits for the 1100 frequently break. The pneumatics for both the 870 and 1100 are quite undersized. It takes a buttload of parts with bigger ports to make these guns fieldable with full load shells. I think the poor initial design of these guns has made them not very popular (TM sells more shotties than Maruzen I think) which has quashed the motivations for developing the large number of upgrade parts to effectively improve these shottys.

Gish: I was looking for internal parts for the shotty, but the Metal frame was the only thing I saw.
MadMax: Since TM sells more shotties is there more aftermarket(External and Internal) for their shotties, or is their just not a large market for shotty upgrade parts? The only shotty i like by TM that is in my price range is th M3 Shorty. I haven't done an extensive search but i looked throughout TMC(Tokyo Model Company) and couldn't find anything. I wouldn't be fielding a shotty probably, i would purchase one for my own personal interest at this point. Thank you both for your input! |
