Twisting Hop up Issue
Hey guys,
Quick tech question if anyone has s second. I just recently got my JG HK416 which is alright, better than expected as far as externals go, but there is one issue I hope someone has an answer for. Upon first loading the mag I noticed it would not lock in all the way and just drop out. After some inspection I noticed the hop up chamber inside the mag well would twist to one side causing the issue. I took the gun apart and have located two slots on the outer barrel in the reviever that the hop unit slides into. It seem like it is twisted and not centering the hop up or it could just defective? Has anyone ever seen this before and have a fix? thanks in adavance, Brady |

It sounds like your outer barrel is not tight, causing the whole outer barrel to twist with the hop up unit, because your hopup slides into groves on your outer barrel. I suggest just to take off the RIS and tighten down the outer barrel, making sure you can center the groves of your hopup unit.

Thanks for the reply, that's what I suspected at first and I will give it another try, but I did try tightening the outer barrel but its on there good, and I can see it is just the hop up unit wiggling between the two grooves. Is it just bad tolerances?

I still think it is the outer barrel. Does your outer barrel have grooves to fit into the upper receiver so even when it is tightened down it would still wobble because it has no 'friction lock' keeping it from moving from side to side.
