G&P
Classic army A&K G&G Echo1 personal opinion of the order they should be in... this is comparing stock rifles no upgrades. side note - you also know we can't tell you where to get them unless you are verified and you cannot import them Last edited by R.I.T.Z; May 24th, 2011 at 23:54.. |

Woah woah woah! What about Ares? I just got my Ares XM110 3 days ago and im loving it. Its completely stock and has groupings the the size of an 8.5" by 11" peice of paper at 165 feet.

G&P Stock SR25 with a Prometheus 6.03mm tightbore will yield far better results as well as quality of parts both internally and externally
Well in my experience I've had 6"x7" groupings at 140-160 feet

Yes but thats with an upgrade. hows stock, out of the box accuracy? 8.5" by 11" groupings at 165 feet is stock right out of the box accuracy. After I put a tightbore in mine i'll test it again. Ares M110 is full metal, and has real Knights armament markings.

Just buy whichever looks prettiest and feels the nicest. If you're serious about sniping, you'll be replacing the internals anyways.

One thing to remember about just all of the SR-25s is that they have oddball mechbox parts and magazines. A beaut of a rifle but not a great choice for your first AEG.

Ya, Weird nozzle lengths and mag compatibility. I was pretty stoked on getting one not too long ago, but changed my mind after reading up on them a little bit. They do look sooo nice though. I really like the FDE ones.

Basic accuracy of the G&P is pretty crappy, fault to the 6.08mm inner barrel.
The only ones left are the ones with standard GB and long nozzle. For compatibility most use G&P mags (G&G and CA are specific) so G&P SR25 mags and 7.62 Pmags both work in A&K, G&P (surprise! ) and Jing Gong. |

Yes thats a good point. The ares is very hard to get mags for, but in my opinion is the best looking. Like The_Silencer already said, if your serious about sniping you dont need to worry about stock accuracy because parts will be upgraded.

Couple of things about the g&p vs ares
G&p has an elongated gb, the ares I believe has a modified v2 (but don't quote me) The Ares has a quick spring change system The ares has very decent xm110 markings, and has ambidextrous controls like the RS. The g&p pretty much took the original sr-25 and painted xm100 on the receiver. All this being said... The Ares version does NOT have a compatible silencer If you are going for looks and authenticity, then buy the G&p sr25 special edition(if you can still find them) OR the Ares xm110(stay away from the g&p xm110..though internally it's an improvement over the special edition). I got the g&p sr-25 special edition because the authentic looking silencer was a must on an sr-25 (personal opinion). |
