Problem with MP5 trigger

I have a problem with my MP5 (ver 2 gearbox) trigger. The trigger works only if i pull it halfway. If i pull it to the end the gun jams - it makes a sound like it does if the battery is dead and cannot spin the gears anymore.
But If you pull the trigger halfway it works again.

I have opened my gearbox but i did not see anything strange there...

Does anyone have ideas what can be the problem?

Shorten the back-latch of the trigger, maybe it has problems with the sectorgear:

Thank you for the answer but thats not my problem. There is enough space between trigger and sectorgear. On this picture the trigger is pulled fully back.

I tried today to pull the trigger fully back and spin the gears without spring - all worked fine. But if i put it all together the problem remains. Maybe the problem is electrical??

uhhh you removed a mechanical part and it worked fine, so you are asking if the problem is electrical? I'm not sure I follow...

what do the trigger contacts look like? if they are gummed/carbon'd up further down, but still nice and shiney at the very begining ... you could be loosing full contact at full pull

If your gun looks like this - solder this contacts together (under selector-plate)
