Talking New to Airsoft - First airsoft rifle

How's it going everyone,

I'm pretty much new to airsoft (just got into it during the summer), and I have finally; purchased, received, and assembled my first GBBR.

I bought the WE HK416 (OB) version and I have to say it's pretty sweet.

I currently also have the WE 5.1 Dragon (B), changed slide to Infinity slide.

As well as 2 WE 1911 knighthawks (Mainly for display)...

I probably want to start playing on the field in a couple months,
So what's a good AEG for a beginner like me?

Cheers!

The relatively new (and dirt cheap!) UMAREX G36 "V" are an excellent choice for beginners these days, in my opinion.
There's no reason you can't run your GBB stuff on the field, though.

That's a pretty open ended question. Basically pick what style of gun you like and go for the company that makes the best quality model of that weapon that you can afford, and go from there. No one can reccomend any one AEG out of the 1000's out there, if they do they are only reccomending what they currently own.

If you have a GBBR and a GBB pistol then why do you need an AEG? Considering the amount of money you probably spent on it I would just use that. But if your looking for an AEG for use during the winter then look into an SRC. Their pretty reliable for the cost, and good for newer players looking to get into the sport. They have both plastic body, and metal body versions depending on what your looking for. They Distributor for Western Canada also provides excellent customer support if you have a problem with it.

I can second what was said for SRC. I have the Gen III M4 (plasic lower) and it has been a great gun. i used it to start out in the sport, and see what kind of style playing i like. then instead of buying a new gun, i threw a bit of cash into upgrades. I do very well with it. its a good all around gun, cheap too!

get av'ed... you'll likely find one in the classifieds
