Quick Question re: Airsoft AR Barrel Nut.
Will an airsoft AR take a standard AR barrel nut?
Is the threading on the receivers of airsoft AR's standard threading across the board?

Depends on the brand. From what I recall, and don't quote me on that, only the PTW is 1:1 as far as these details go.

Perhaps the more appropriate question would be;
is the external dimensions of the various AR barrel nuts / delta ring assy's fairly standard? Are handguards, FF kits able to attach universally to the barrel nut included with each airsoft AR? (or even with a minor variance in outside diameter)

Short answer is No.
In general there are two "standards" with AS rifles. The "TM" threading and the "Other". G&P/PTW/and others use the other...those are closer to real steel. TM (and copies) use a slightly different threading...it's close enough that the threads can be usually chased to fit (via file/threading file/die) The kicker in all that...is it's airsoft. And as such even something that is "supposed to be" isn't always exactly. Sort of, mostly to spec seems to be the rule of thumb for airsoft. Chasing the threads is not a bad thing...paint/surface treatments/casting defects/etc can all cause a barrel nut/delta ring to hang up and jam.
