Marui Gas Blowback Unit Spring
Where the heck does this spring go? It belongs to a marui BBU.

you see on the side of the plastic nozzle theres like a squared/rectangular extension.... then there's some kind of room between it and the metal GBB housing? it should go there... (from what I can see in the picture...)
Since its there to push the nozzle back when the gun blows back... (= when you pull the nozzle forward, it should compress the spring...) |

isnt there a hole on the matal BBU housing for that pin to fit?
PS: what pistol are you working on anyways... |

That spring with the plastic pin is a safety spring...
The one that goes in the BBU would be shorter and smaller in dia. I guess you have a Glock... so I am not sure where that one could go.. there is no safety on the frame like 191s and hicapas. |

Yeah its a tm glock, it looks like the right spot to put it in tho, its just down to compressing the spring enough to fit the unit into the slide. Regardless, thanks Gunny

A glock 18c I see
Thats the return spring for the BBU, there's a little slot on the right side where it goes into. When you have the BBU half way into the slide you need to take a screw driver to compress the plastic nub so it goes into it's slot inside the BBU. Also when installing the plastic nub faces forward towards the barrel. And you have the plastic nub on the right way. Hope this helps. Last edited by sushicake; May 27th, 2011 at 21:13.. |
