Help! Slide cant be pulled back!

on my KJW 1911, the slide is stuck so that it I can't even pull it back enough to push the pin out to disassemble. I suspect it has something to do with the recoil spring being stuck, any suggestions? I have thought of creating a new notch for the pin to slide out, but that would acquire me to ruin the frame.

Thanks

Any advice on taking out the plug? I cant seem to do so, but I have removed the barrel bushing and can now move the outer barrel. However, the slide still doesnt pull back all the way.

... You need to remove the slide to remove the plug.

You need to wiggle the front recoil spring to reseat it from what it sounds like .. I had to do this to my ksc one when it was working.

The thing is, I can barely budge the slide.

Use a long screwdriver or a long allen key to push the spring plug in. And then manually rack the slide back.

The spring plug gets stuck after I pushed it back a bit. It only moved about 1 inch.

Take out mag.
Remove everything you can without breaking it.
On a 1911 that means you can also remove the hammer spring and frame safety, along with the leaf spring.

Put gun in a large plastic container.
Pour hot water on it (as hot as you can have your hands in).
Wiggle the gun in the water for 5 minutes.
Try to rack the slide/move the controls.

The heat will make the slide expand, so if there is something stuck in the gun, it will let it loose.

Don't forget to completely disassemble the gun, dry everything and lube everything with silicon oil RIGHT AWAY. Otherwise everything will rust.

None of these seem to work, I afraid, so it looks like I'll have to make that notch.

I'm guessing your disconnecter got stuck which locked up the slide?

If not, how does your slide even get stuck that way.. Just smash the front end back with the flat head and a hammer.
