You used to be able to buy direct from TAG (Tactical Applications Group) for about $280. Since the contract award, I'm not sure anymore.

I heard about guys who did, but I don't know either if you still can. I registered on TAG website and I bought an IBA from one of their employee. I'll have to ask him if the Spartan is available to public.

I FOUND THIS:::::The information contained here is about our Official USMC Issue MARPAT MCCUU Digital Camouflage Uniforms and is provided for those that might have uncertainties or would like clarifications of what is "Real" when it comes to these USMC Digital MARPAT Uniforms.

Propper International Inc., American Apparel Inc., E.A. Industries Inc. or American Power Source, Inc.

The uniform blouse has the Eagle, Globe and Anchor embroidered on the left breast pocket. The uniforms, both trousers and blouses have the small printed "USMC" & EGA (Eagle, Globe & Anchor) insignia imbedded within the digital camouflage pattern at approximately every 13" intervals, this is a printed logo, not embroidered.

The blouse/shirt has a total of 4 pockets; two slant style Velcro closure chest pockets and two button closure shoulder sleeve pockets. Sleeves have reinforced elbow padding and adjustable cuffs.

The trousers/pants have a total of 6 pockets; two front slash style, two rear button closure pockets and two large thigh bellows cargo pockets, button fly, reinforced knees and seat. Partial elasticized waist at the hips. There are interior pockets for knee pads. They do not have the traditional waist adjustment cinch straps that you might be familiar with in older versions of BDU pants, this waist size adjustment feature has been replaced with the two elastic points at the hips. They also have done away with the tie strings at the ankle cuffs.

i almost bought a whole bunch of MARPAT, but decided to go with special ops digicam pattern as it is darker green and works better at the field im at. Here is a good example.

i prefer this of MARPAT cause this has more greens in it. I play up a wasaga, so in the summer months it can get pretty overgrown with foliage. Ill post some pics of my entire loadout once my gun arrives.

well theres "real look" and then there is functionality, my vest is perfect for me. i find myself over heating in the winter........i know its crazy...........and i figured a CB would be way to hot, never mind spring and summer.

I think you will find that the "real look" generally takes functionality over form. If you're happy with a vest, then go with it.

Well here's my temporary load (until I received my IBA)

-El Cheapo E-Hobby Asia chestrig (copied from Eagle Rhodesian)
-1x Aites IFAK
-1x Blackhawk radio pouch
-1x Unknown Frag pouch
-4x Proud double M4 mag pouch

As for the helmet I'm still stuck with my MICH until I have the money for a LWH.
But I'll change the the mag pouches because the color is wayyyyyyyyyy off (the IFAK and grenade pouch have the good shade). The only thing is, I don't know toward wich company I'm going to go...

Here are a couple pics of my MARPAT loadout. The BDU is Tru-Spec and the boonie is Propper. I also use the CB RRV and MICH2000 from AirsoftDepot. The gloves were temporary, I have since gotten a pair of Mechanix gloves which look, and function, much better. There is a noticeable difference between the Propper and Tru-Spec but I think overall it looks pretty good.
