Need a helmet from a Modern Warfare 2 wallpaper IDed.
Hey guys, haven't been around here in a while, so hopefully this is where I should post this. Anyways, I'm looking to pick up a new helmet, and happened to stumble upon this picture and thought it was pretty cool:
I was thinking it's a MICH 2002 or something? The front mount looks a bit different than the ones I've normally seen, so I'm not sure. I'm far from experienced in all this stuff and you guys seem to be smart and always have the answer, so I'll see what you guys have to say. Also, feel free to ID any of the other stuff, as I'm kinda looking for another vest as well. Thanks in advance guys. Last edited by Nielsen; May 9th, 2011 at 15:30.. |

Sorry about that, it seems to work for me, not sure what happened. Re-uploaded a new one in the original post though, cropped it down, hopefully that one works.

Looks to me to be a MICH2000, with a made up NVG mount, and some add ons like a surefire flashlight. The closest I could find to the NVG mount is the standard retention strap style NVG mount. But with most shooter games they make up alot of the gear to get the desired look for their characters. Hope this helps.

Looks like a MICH NVG mount without all the detail rendered in.

IMO, building a helmet based on real world need look even more cooler.

To be honest, I wasn't all that concerned with the NVG mount, it just looked different than most of the ones on the MICH helmets I've been looking at, so I was more curious about it than anything. I wasn't actually looking to clone this guys helmet, I just liked the style (I currently have a PASGT M88). Mines a bit too echoy (I don't think that's actually a word heh) and this one looked like it was a bit shorter cut and might reduce that. The MICH 2002 looks like it's cut down even more than the 2000, so I'm not entirely sure which to get.

The 2000 series helmets are all the same, just different cuts. The 2000 is the standard, the 2001 is more like a tankers helmet, it is cut to work with comm sets same as the 2002 which is more Spec ops. If you want ear protection without wearing comms then the 2000 offers better coverage, the 2002 has half the ear coverage, and the 2001 has none. I personally run the 2000 but that is because I stopped a point blank paintball with my right ear. Now my ears are covered more and it would take a lucky shot to get the ears.
Hope this helps |

Dover IBH and the Ops Core Bumps are the current must have helmets.

I do kinda like the FAST Bumps, a lighter helmet with the venting and such would be nice, the price tag, not so nice. Maybe I'll hold out on a new helmet until those Fast helmets come out this summer.
