Just make sure it's unloaded, your spring is decompressed (If an AEG - Fire 2 shots in semi to make clear and decompress the spring) and unplug your battery.

I leave mine fully assembled, I just disconnect the battery for safety.

just keep your safety on and your magazines gassed (they'll leak otherwise).

Just make sure it's clear and de-cocked then, bit of gas in the mag to ensure it keeps a good seal.

But are there any bad consequences to storing it partially disassembled? Or any benefits?

No benefits at all and only real down side would be dust or some other crap getting in it. there is no need just do as posted above unload the BB's leave a bit of gas in the mag make the gun safe and store. Done.

My GBB has a nice pelican case that it lives in. I just leave some gas in the mags, and the hammer down.
