TM P90: How can you ID a Marui body?
How can you distinguish a true marui P90 body from others?

They usually stamp the following on their guns.
Tokyo Marui Made in Japan ASGK I own 4 TM guns and all have the markings present. |

Yea, the "Tokyo Marui" stamp is usually a good indication.
IIRC TM P90s also have realistic trades.

Hm, just checked my TM P90; it has Tokyo Marui markings on the upper receiver, but none on the body:
It does have realistic markings on the body, but no TM identifying marks: I've not yet handled a non-TM P90, dunno if they're marked similarly; but if these marks aren't there, then I'd assume it's not a TM. |

The FIRST P90 was the red dot version, and this one came with a black body. A bit over a year later, the P90-TR was released, and this one was differentiated with a triple rail system (versus the red dot sight), came with a SOCOM style suppressor, and had the OD/grey lower. The Red Dot P90 is still in production, and still has a black body. Internally, both guns are exactly the same. |

^^^ ILLusion is correct. Note my P90 pictured is an original-run red-dot version, and is black (pics look greyish due to over-lighting and cheap camera).
I'm unaware if TM has changed their markings on later runs, but doubt it; retooling quality injection molds is damn expensive. Last edited by Wildlife; February 24th, 2011 at 19:49.. Reason: Grammamar again |

Thank you guys!!!
What if found: The Tokyo Marui has a small round circle inside the battery compartment with the label "Tokyo Marui". Im happy that i got a real one , you never know what you get when you buy used stuff. |
