CA G36 Feeding Issues
Title pretty much states it all. Running MAG G36 low cap mags and no BBs feed. Also got a Star double C mag with the same problems. Tried the CA M4 magwell converter with KA and MAG M4 low caps, sometimes the BB feeds or double feeds or won't feed.
This is a recent problem, noticed it wasn't shooting when I brought it to Sunday's Eco game. Only changes I made was sticking the G&P sniper style stock so I didn't even touch the gearbox or magwell. I played around with the magwell and the gearbox, didn't seem to help. The loading nozzle is moving, I can feel air coming out, this problem has me stumped. Appreciate any help.

Try a drop of oil down the hop up feed tube. I know, many will shit on me for saying so, but 90% of the time it fixes the problem.

your bb's might shoot like shit for the first few hundred but after should help out. Also make sure you mags are lubed. I have seen really dry and dirty mags that just stop feeding cause of this

K, hate to bump this knowing its and old thread but I tried lubing the mags and I get a few shots out before they stop feeding. The C style mag unfortunately has me completely stumped, it just won't feed at all.

What type of BBs are you using? My MAG G36 midcaps wouldn't feed at all when I was using non-polished BBs, switching to polished BBs solved the problem.

I just use BBB .20g, I don't recall if they're polished or not.

Perhaps the rocker/lever nub thing in your hopup is broken?
Not sure you'll understand what I mean, but people familiar with G36's will. It's only in a G36 hopup chamber. |

Remove your barrel assembly and check for a crack on the hop-up body, near the two tabs that lock it in place. Every CA G36 I saw had damage there. That will cause the nozzle to strike the wall of the hop-up chamber and not have enough strengh to push the BB into the chamber.
An easy way to test that is to unscrew the barrel group, pull it out 1" and insert it again slowly. If the nozzle catches, it is a hop-up problem. |
