Western Arms Beretta 92FS "Perfect Version"
Hi everyone. I had a quick question. I went to get my PS3 fixed and the guy who fixed it was selling a bunch of airsoft gear. I'm just new to this and beginning to take interest, so I thought I'd buy some stuff off of him. The one gun he's selling that caught my eye, which I haven't bought yet, as I have a few questions, is a Western Arms Beretta 92FS "Perfect Version". It is in amazing condition, and it's ALL METAL. The question I have is, is it even legal to own an all metal one? It isn't smoked plastic like what I've been told is the requirement, and is as heavy and real as the real thing (I know this because my friends dad has an IDENTICAL real one! They even almost weigh the same, lol. So any how, is it safe for me to purchase it? He said he bought it from the Alberta a couple of years back and had no trouble buying it. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

all this info is available in the newbie section of the forum. How ever you won't have any issues buying it. Just don't take it to the US. The smoked lower is just for importation. Just an FYI you can get that gun brand new for just over $300 from the right people up here. so don't get fleeced on it.

If it's a WA it probably isn't full metal.

KJW Has a Full Metal M92F Vertec with Underrail. I got mine BNIB and got an amazing price! most people want Full Metal for more realistic look and feel.
Good luck!

Legal to own, but not exactly legal to import (as a private citizen).
I have a full metal M4 and the police haven't kicked my door down yet. Just be careful and be safe, taking all necessary safety precautions also only use at a proper field (or if you live in the sticks then wherever you go to shoot your rifles or in the backyard for varmit hunting (note don't hunt varmits/pests with airsoft, it's cruel and unusual)). As for the WA, they're nice but mags get expensive very fast (think $40-50+ USD for their mags, and this is coming from Asia as well so add in brokerage/duties/tariffs and shipping costs and you can see how they're mainly made for collectors or people who have a lot of money to throw into a hobby like this). AFAIK they're plastic though (metal slides probably available but not sure about comparability since they make a lot of "limited runs" and I'm not entirely sure if they're compatible with TM parts).

yah I missed that when I typed my first response. they are indeed plastic. But they are a very close 1:1 replica and have real trades. If you want a full metal go for the PTP. Draw back is it has no trades.

It's not full metal. It's just the "heavy weight" version, with some metal alloy dust mixed in when making the abs material. It's nice and feels and looks like metal, but isn't. I used to have the same exact one, and is still kicking myself in the face for selling it. The owner is probably confused. If there were after market metal upgrades, he would've mentioned it I think.

I think so too, it would be a major argument for sale

I have a WA 92fs with metal slide but I cannot find a metal barrel for it. If you have any suggestions. Let me know where I can find it. Thanks.
