Hi,

Last Tuesday I went down to one of the air soft retailers in my city and showed the guy there my learners license(I'm 18, I just haven't got my drivers). He asked for my username then he then said it would take a week for it to be verified.

I made this thread to ask why it takes a week because it seams like something that would be done very quickly.

Also I have other questions, are the guns that are sold in the classified section new and used?

Are the guns cheaper there then the ones sold from stores like Capital Airsoft?

Are the classified sellers people or stores selling guns or both?

I am looking for a MP40 and a Luger, do you think those will be hard to find?

It could take longer then a week actually.

The guys who do the verification do them in batches, every week or 2+ depending on whats going on IRL. They are not paid to do this, so its gets done when it gets done.

Guns in the classified section range from never been opened to seen many years and hundreds of thousands of BBs.

I don't believe the weapons you are looking for will be hard to find, you just gotta be willing to pay for them, and wait.

It can take anywhere from 2 days to about 2 months, as was stated they do them in batches

new or used, or used as wall hangers the condition will come up in the sales thread

depends on the gun, whats included, some guns are sold as packaged deals

theres a classified section which is all the private sales, and then there are retailers on the site which get regular stock in

mp40 not at all i've seen alot recently, the lugar may be harder but it just takes time and money i know of a few members which have one.

As has been mentioned, the people that run this site, as well as the Age Verifiers, don't get paid. They have to hold down regular jobs just like the rest of us and run this site in their spare time. That plus the fact that it's Christmas means things take alittle while. Be patient, it'll happen when it happens. It took three weeks for me.

The Classifieds has everything from brand new in box, to guns that have been lovingly used and upgraded for years, to ones that have hung on a wall for a decade. They are sold by both people and retailers. Descriptions of conditions will be in the sales posts. The AV system plus the Trader Rating system allows us to self-police ourselves very well, so you can generally trust what you see in the classifieds even if it is being sold by an individual. As to the weapons you mentioned, as Ritz stated, the mp40 should be fairly easy but the luger is probably going to take alittle more time.
