MP5 RAS: rewire to rear or PEQ box?

Hello,

I have a used TM MP5 RAS, and do not care for the weight distribution and fussy battery installation that the front battery entails.

I thought I would solve both by getting a full stock and rewiring to the rear, but the idea of a PEQ box w/battery intrigues me. Obviously the PEQ solution only addresses one of my concerns.

So, which would you do (or not do), and why? Note as a newb, rewiring to the rear doensn't strike me as beyond my abilities or skills, but if it is more complex than I think, that would be a good reason to go PEQ.

Thanks.

MP5 pretty much all come with the mechbox wired to the rear and had an extension harness to route that either to the front or rear. You'd have to completely disassemble the TM body to get the front wire extension harness out, but you could just leave it there and add a rear extension for the full stock, if it doesn't come with one.

Use the full stock. Weight balance will be so much better and you can put a large 8.4v in there to shoot all day. A PEQ box is fine but adds weight to the front end. Plus if it's only a battery holder and non functional, IMHO it's a pointless add on.

personally get a full stock. PEQ on an MP5 would just look out of place. There are a bunch of videos on youtube on how to re-wire a ver2 gearbox from the front to back.

I have an MP5 RAS and I hate full stock so I went with a peq battery box.

Here's how it looks

Although without the strike kit, it doesn't suit the gun as well

Lipo battery. The smallest will fit the front and they got enough juice for a day of CQB.
