Winter loadout help
Hey guys, my first post here.
Winter it's near and since it can be quite cold here where i live i am doing some winter loadout. I already ordered some thermal underwear, ACU Goretex pants and Condor Base II Pullover, as final layer i am thinking of buying a Condor Sierra fleece jacket( or should i go with softshell?), but i can't decide between OD and FG option, because to me, both look great + i don't own any gear in those colors so i can't compare. Rig i am using it's RBBS( MBSS in RG), PACA and battle belt (everything in RG). Sorry for any bad spelling. |

Just remember, if you are going to be moving around allot you wont want to many layers because you will sweat then freeze.

I wouldn't be TOO concerned with the pattern of the clothing you get. My recommendation would be a goretex shell layer (im partial to the US ecwcs jacket) with thermal underwear and a fleece option depending on how cold it gets (multiple layers are better than one big one.). Then top it off with a set of canadian winter over-whites. In a woodland area, depending on snow coverage, you should have a woodland top with a white bottom (as the coniferous trees will still be green and the ground will be snow covered.)

Whatever gear you get, make sure to buy comfortable waterproof boots and or gortex socks.
As for colours, you can always throw on a set of winter whites over your warm layers. |
