The first part just seems like S&W bitching about something that isn't that big of a deal.
But then Palco/Cybergun continued using the trademarks after S&W cancelled the contract, which is kind of a dick move.

Why do people complain about free advertising?

if there's money to be won, BITCH IT!
That's basically why Glock, H&K did it as well.

If they don't take action to protect their trademark they can loose the trademark rights to it.

Funny how just a couple of years ago Cybergun were the ones hammering on people about trademark infringements, and now they're on the receiving end of it.

It seems like an argument over semantics: Cybergun actually owns PALCO and do all of their North American distribution under that banner.

Either way, doesn't seem like it'll affect the consumers much, besides the disappearance of S&W -branded weapons (although I can hear the Chris Costa fanboys' hearts sink at the idea they may never get a fully trademarked S&W M&P.40 GBB now -- who knows what'll come of Marui's)

If Cybergun valued this arrangement with S&W they should have given greater due dilligence before extending the rights to Palco.

The Palco You Tube videos annoy the shit out of me..so in a strange way, I am pleased.
