Flash Hider Removal on a Dboys AKS-74U
Hey guys. Having a bit of trouble removing the flash hider on my gun. Tried having the entire flash hider part of the gun sit in boiled water for about 2-3 minutes and it will still not move at all. Seems a bit like they used cement instead of glue, because this fucker will not budge.
Any tips/tricks to removing this glue? |

there's actually two threads on it, IIRC the flashhider is a clockwise thread, while the actual barrel threads are counter clockwise held in by a grub screw.
So pretty much, a wider clockwise thread ring goes onto the barrels counter clockwise threads, and the flashhider goes on the bigger ring. So you could just be unscrewing it the wrong way. Also remember to push in and hold the little nub on the top of the flashhider, that locks the flashhider in place and centers it. Last edited by sushicake; September 12th, 2010 at 02:50.. |
