Not shooting when I pull too hard...

Hey there gun docs!..

I'm having a problem with my AEG(duh)...

After a 15 min game/walk in the light rain with my AEG, I think it got water damaged...

The problem is that whenever I pull the trigger all the way back and hold it there, bb's won't shoot out, BUT there is a cycle. Once I let the trigger ease off even 1mm, the cycle completes, thus shooting the bb out.

It's a problem because it's extremely annoying!...

I took my gearbox apart, clean it, regressed, and cleaned some black gunk on the electrical system(the thing that complete the circuits in the gearbox).

Any ideas/clues on what might cause this problem?

Got a big game coming up this Friday, really don't want my gun to crap out out there.

did you check the trigger assembly was right? Does it have the same weight on the pull and the release?

Check your hop up, like you said, the gun cycles when you press the trigger just no BB's come out.

Clean your barrel, check for jams.

that would have absolutely nothing to do with the gun not cycling with a full trigger pull but working on a 90% one.

I'd say get a new trigger switch, musta fried a few spots on the contacts on that one.

I'm not 100% on this one. Maybe I miss place the spring a bit, but I'll double check.

You misunderstood me.

What I meant was(order thing happen in),

1. pull my trigger all the way and hold.
2. motor turns, pulling the piston back and holding it there..
3. Release even a single millimeter of the trigger.
4. pop, piston release and out flies the bb.

If I don't pull the trigger back and hold, it cycle fine. It's when I pull, and hold it there.

I misread your post so I'm probably wrong.

So the piston pulls back and stops? Essentially then the spring is compressed until you release the trigger? Sounds like your switch assembly might be losing contact causing the motor to stop as with the gears in mid cycle.

The full trigger pull is supplying enough power to start the cycle but at the end of the pull is no linger making contact. When you release the trigger, you are again supplying power which completes the cycle.

Check that your switch assembly is not fouled up and is operating properly.


Edit: What gun? What mechbox if not stock to that gun?

Ya, I think it is burnt... When I look at the connection whenever I pull the trigger... I can see spark... If you look even closer, there's a blackish circle where the surface is connected.

Thanks for the help! Off I go for a new trigger assembly....

PS: ICS uses standard v2 right? Or do they do their own special thing as well?
