So this is pretty much what the Brits are making for their new helmets?
Not really convenient in a 'boots on the ground' sense but great for guys doing air sentry and top cover.

MSA also do a very nice gas mask, never fogs and gives excellent protection from smoke grenades (even the military 'carginogenic as fuck' smokes don't cause a concern) and it doesn't restrict breathing very much..
i'll get the model when i get home.
