Question Upgradeability of a GBB?

I was wondering how much of the internals of a GBB can be upgraded. I know AEG's have lots of stuff you can upgrade but is it the same for a GBB? As well as can the barrel we swapped out of an AEG and/or GBB?

Thanks,
Konqurz

(And yes I realize I'm not AV'd)

hey how about keeping all your questions in one thread? yes they can be upgraded, most overseas airsoft sites sell upgrade parts, airsoftparts.ca is great and are located in canada.

aeg and gbb's use different style hopups, so their inner barrels are generally not interchangeable

Do some research on the gun you intend to buy and then see what other people have done to their guns, posting a thread for every random thought that enters your head is not going to make you any friends on this site.

read the faq and get av'd too

Depends on the make/model of GBB you have. And barrels are a no.

Thanks for the advice.

And sorry about posting so many threads. I just thought that separate questions should be in separate threads so that the thread stays focused on what the main point is. But I know for next time

Oh and the barrels I just meant can they be removed and upgraded, not if they were interchangeable.

Switching barrels = yes (in some cases).

You cant swap from AEG to GBB though, but you can for example swap a 11.5 inch barrel on an aeg and swap it for a 14.5 inch AEG barrel, and you can swap an 11.5 inch barrel in a GBB for a 14.5 inch GBB barrel.

Western Arms and WE are the big GBBR brands in Canada (and the states) and parts are not to hard to find. But both have little problems just like any other gun.

What GBBR are you thinking of getting/have?

Whoa, I didn't realize you were talking GBBR here. I thought you meant GBB as in GBB pistols... confusing.

As a newbie myself I would stay away from the GBBR and go with a AEG. If you're going to game it, from a mag capacity POV the AEG is much better. You're not going to have fun if you need to re-load or run outof ammo in the first 2 minutes of game play.

This is just my opinion. I was going to get the WE SCAR GBBR and decided to just get the AEG version.

Do not buy WE's unless you have 2x the cash equal to the value of the gun to throw in upgrade parts. They are not that great...out of the box.

GBB = Gas Blow Back (originally for pistols)
GBBR - Gas Blow Back Rifles (R added to the lingo to discern the two platforms)
