What's a better type of gas to use?
I was just wondering what the different types of gas are there for Gas powered pistols and what the differences are and which is the best (in terms of price and reliability). The ones that i know of currently are CO2 and Green gas (propane). I heard of red gas but i'm not quite sure what it is.
Anyway, if some1 can give me some insight, it would be awesome. -Envy Last edited by silenced13; August 12th, 2010 at 04:03.. |

Propane without knowing anything about what you're using it in. I can run it in my pistols, cook with it, and fire up a torch also.

green gas is propane
red gas is freon22. it's the chemical used in air conditioner's I DO NOT reccomend this gas for your gun, it's much more powerfull and will break your gun. I use it in my Tanaka K98 for small game hunting, the combo of the K98, a BB bastard .30, and red gas will easily instantly kill a grouse/prairie chicken, squirrel or other animal of that size, you can also kill rabbit's (were talkin big hare's here) with this combo with a well placed head shot. red gas is also pretty toxic apperently

Freon is indeed toxic at sufficient concentration but unless you try to get high with it I doubt shooting with red gaz will do any real damage
For me if it's available : CO², less leaks due to cartridge design and power is more stable... and and KJW GBB you can still use it when temperature is down to -18°C (my famous freezer test ). |
