Migrating to Canada
With the permission of the Admin...
Hi! My name is Jazle, my family and I will be migrating to Canada (Alberta) on September. I've been playing airsoft for almost 10 years now (in Philippines and Dubai, UAE). I'm was the former Assistant Team Leader of Team MISTAH which is under our umbrella group UFAC-GAF (United Filipino Airsoft Club-Gulf Airsoft Federation) here in UAE. I was also the Secretary of the whole organization for quite a while. I'm hoping I can join a team from Alberta once we move there. Are there any team recruiting from that area? |

Welcome!
To open up the world of airsoft in Canada after your arrival, your first order of business is to get age verified if/when your are 18 and read over the many FAQs here so you can see how we do things in the Great White North. As for Teams, there is a forum on ASC specifically for that: http://www.airsoftcanada.com/forumdisplay.php?f=67 Cheers!

Where in Alberta are you going to end up?
I assume it's one of the bigger cities like Calgary or Edmonton? If so JOC (Joint Operations Calgary) and EAR (Edmonton Airsoft Regiment) have you covered. If you for some reason or other end up in Southern Alberta (like 3 hours south of Calgary) then talk to me. PS: Good to have a new player, especially one that doesn't ask the "standard newbie questions". You'll find out about getting airsoft here once you land and get Age Verified it's not the same as some more liberal countries like Philippines, Japan or HK we're in a predicament when it comes to airsoft and the law here.

Canada sucks for anything firearm-related.
If you were into real-steel back home you're going to be REALLY dissappointed. |

Welcome to Canada! Guns are a wee wee bit more expensive here. I know its damn cheap back home, but thats the price of being able to play here in Canada

How do you get Mexican out of a possible Pinoy airsofter?
Abi Saya seems to be a mockery of the Abu Sayaf......not really that cool unless I can create a team called the Tilaban.... Check out Pacific Recon thread when you get AV. Based in the GTA but can possibly help you settle in.

well, we don't like them.
pretend is what most of us do. better than Sparrow Unit, which is supposedly Sparu Unit. thanks. it's a tribal thingy. Ayasib, would be another thing.

it's not actually intended to mock those evils.
one thing is, our gears are mixed-match in relation to "can't-afford-a-BDU". so rebel look-alike. GBBR is a standard though. thanks.
