M16 AEG,Vsr-10

hi,

I own a broken Vsr-10 clone(tsd sd700), and It has been broken for a while. I am interested in buying a new m16 AEG. I can't decide whether or not to fix my vsr-10($300) or buy an m16($340). I am into the sniper/scout role, so i was going to make the m16 a dmr anyway. I just don't know if upgrading the vsr-10 will last longer then a pre- upgraded new m16. What will cost more in the long run? My vsr-10 has a broken trigger, and worn piston. The reason i don't want to fix the vsr-10 is that i fear that it will happen again. What's the better choice?

thanks

I'd go with the aeg, in my experiance it will cost you less in the short and long run vs upgrades and the like, also sniping is quite the difficult role.
get yourself verified and check the classifieds theres a few pre-built dmrs in there

Buy PDI upgrades for your VSR, it will never break again.
The reason it broke is because stock parts, especially clone parts, are VERY weak. PDI makes their stuff out of quality steel and stainless. Believe me, upgrading is expensive but very worth it.
We'd be happy to give you advice on what to get for upgrades, unfortunately there's no real "cheap" path to upgrading a sniper rifle. And I mean literally, there are like no cheap upgrade parts lol
Anyway, once upgraded you will not believe the range and accuracy you will get out of it! Way better than any M16 DMR could ever get
And on the cost vs time side, you only ever have to upgrade the sniper rifle once. AEG's break down, especially if you don't have a good gunsmith or you get lower end parts

I have to agree with Cactus on this one. If your into the sniper/scout role this is what you want to do.

Nicest post Cactus has ever posted.

I actually surprised people are recommending upgrading the vsr10 lol the only thing I wud bring up is the fitting issues you may have since it a clone. I've heard of people buying expensive upgrades and finding out they don't fit due to low quality tolerances
