Re-fitting an upper reciever to lower. (M4)

While cleaning my barrel today, i did the usual routine of:
removing the magazine
safe and clear
unplugging the battery
Pushing out the forward most body pin connecting the lower to the upper.
Disconnecting the wires
pulling back on the charging handle and slowly sliding the upper forward.

When all was said and done I reversed my steps (of course leaving out safe and clear).

While trying to slide my upper back on my M4 I noticed there is a little notch on the top of my Gearbox, which seems to have something to do with the charging handle.
The notch is preventing me from re-installing my upper receiver.
How might i re-attach the upper? (I have to slide it on the top of my gearbox because of the grooves).

I've included some pictures.

EDIT: FIXED IT!
