New to airsoft, Bought V733 Carbine
Good day everyone,
This is my first post, so be gentle . I have read numerous threads so far on ASC: The newbie threads, the FAQ, gun reviews and upgrade guides. I have never played so far, and wanted to buy something "decent", upgradable and "Canadian Legal". My Focus was to find a basic JG M4 and build on it. I came accross VA's website and after reading a few reviews on ASC about VA's clear & sturdy plastic bodies, I figured it would be safer to buy my first rifle from them and avoid the risks of importing from asia. I bough this as my first gun: a V733 Carbine. http://www.torontoairsoft.com/produc...id_product=500 Received it 2 days ago. Works like a charm (from my inexperienced point of view), though the handguard is a bit wobbly due to the metal Delta ring spring that seems weak. The battery is inserted in the front grip, and makes it a bit tighter. A friend used it's measuring tool and it shoots at 365fps and the ROF on full auto is around 8.4 bullets/sec. I'm under the impression I bought a good entry level M4. Since I kinda like gadgets, it's missing front rails and I wonder if anyone bought one of these V733 as a platform to upgrade? I'd like to change the handgard as simply as possible (remember this is my first gun... no experience whatsoever) but do not know if it is possible since the carry handle is fixed. The upper body portion would probably have to be changed. Thank you very much for sharing any insights and I'm asking about this V733 since I haven't found much both on the Web and on ASC abou this gun. Cheers! Trencher, Airsoft wanabe. Welcome to airsoft! Firstly, don't worry about the wobble. Even REAL M4's have a lot of wobble in the front handguard Secondly, your integrated carry handle does not effect the ability to change out the front set at all, you could put any AEG rail system made for it on!

Thank you very much Twin#1 for the info.
I'll get in touch with Velocity Arms to figure out what front rail system would be compatible with it then. From what I read the V733 is a modified Jing Gong M4. But I don't know what would be compatible with it's barrel lenght. I'd measure it, but I'd probably need to dismantle it to do that right? If anyone knows of a good site that provides technical information about this V733, please share.. I didn't get many interesting results from Google. Cheers! Trencher, Airsoft wanabe. Just FYI, "Canadian Legal" is just a marketing tactic. It has no bearing on the end user, only the importer/retailer. Many of us (I would say most if not all) have full metal or full black guns.
If you get age verified you will have access to a HUGE assortment of used and new (from retailers) full metal and/or full black guns. |

Hi Najohn,
Thanks for the tip about getting verified. I'm browsing through events in the Montreal area after July 19. I'll most likely assist the first one I can, in order to meet up with experienced players and get verified as well. Cheers! Trencher, Airsoft wanabe.
