Shipping Recivers Seperatly?
Hello ASC, I came across daytonaguns new website, apperently they teamed up with opforce or something, the site is here:http://wwwairsoftgasblowbacks.com
Anyways, I sent an email to the customer service and asked if they could put a clear lower reciver on one and send it to me. But it turns out, according to him, that he can send me all the parts in one package, and just the receiver in another. He also promised me that the sucess rate of this is 100% Will that work, or am I going to get screwed? |

If the package containing the receiver is opened by customs, they will seize it. The other parts will most likely get to you no problem, but they're useless without a receiver.

I'm not going to dignify that with a response but that's like asking if someone can ship some plastic baggies across the border (the non restricted parts) and coke/pot/E/other illegal substance in another shipment (the receiver).
You could do it but it's still illegal to bring in the coke, the baggies will pass through fine except customs might wonder why you're importing all these baggies and subsequent shipments may or may not be put under more scrutiny. EDIT: PS: Daytona guns (and other classic airsoft) are fucking awesome, I've got my eye on one in the classifieds that I'm hoping to get the money for by next year (if it's still up...).

Ask him to give you that in writing and put a money back guarantee on it. If there is any truth in his statement the he shouldn't be worried about doing it. Its not unheard of for business to tell you whatever they think you want to hear just so they can get your money.
I have heard of many attempts by people who order full metal receivers for armalites and had the companies agree to ship the receivers in separate packages. The end result of each of these instances is that people received their parcels containing their upper portions and letters from the CBSA stating that their lower receivers had been seized.

Yeah, he already told me in his reply that he would ship them seperalty, and that he would guarentee that they would make it, otherwise he would resend one free of charge. would an email count as in writing?

The link posted appears like this: http://wwwairsoftgasblowbacks.com
It requires that you add another period after www http://www.airsoftgasblowbacks.com I'm not lawyer, so I cant exactly say how much validity someones off the cuff comment would hold in an email. Double check their websites shipping policy's just to make sure they don't have some form of loop hole that lets them off the hook. Email them back asking them how many times they would be willing to try in case the first two don't get through.
