Magazine maintainence

I just fully loaded (400+bb) my hi-cap magazine. Is it a good idea to keep my hi-cap magazine fully loaded for an extend period of time (3days-2weeks)? Should I unload all bb's and later load the magazine only when I need my rifle?

it's fine to store BB's in there just don't wind it up. if you already wound it up, pull the little tab and release all the BB's so the spring isn't under tension.

Sure, why not unload it?

You're putting a spring under tension and it's going to weaken over time if you keep doing it.

EDIT: What he said.

With hicaps its not as much of an issue as real/lo/mid caps as theres no spring to compress unless wound up (as has been mentioned). But its still a good idea to keep the mag empty in case you or someone else loads the magazine into your AEG and goes to fire assuming its an empty mag and have to deal with an accidental discharge that could cause injury or property damage. Just a good habit to get into.
