UTG Shadow Ops, Bolt Action

is this gun really worth it? Im looking at getting a sniper rifle and ive heard a few things from people and I really understand both sides but I want to get the "bigger picture" if you understand. I just want to know if this is a good gun to even buy. please feel free to say what you wish.

Its definitely nothing to write home about, but with a sufficient amount of upgrades added it could be a note worthy functioning item.
The same thing can be said for many airsoft bolt action spring rifles, even Tokyo Marui. While with TM the initial quality is there it still lacks the power and durability upgrades to be a sufficient long range marksman rifles.

If your serious in becoming an airsoft sniper, don't cheap out.

Get either: TM, Maruzen or CA, in my opinion, you either spend the money, or its useless as clones have horrible tolerances.

ive heard that they lack in preformance out of the box, and that they need extensive rebuilding with new parts to make them a good sniper rifle. Now this is what I have received, maybe just bull but I really dont know, thats why im here.

TM Bolt actions are pretty good out of the box through what ive seen in Op-for, but most would agree that if your serious, you'll replace almost everything inside the rifle anyways.

Thats the same story for ANY bolt action. The only difference is that the majority of the after market parts are designed to fit in the TM, whereas with clones like UTG you will find there are tolerance and fitment issues.
