GBBR fps variation

So looking at getting one of the many GBBR out there and am curious about the fps of them. I know you can knock down the fps with duster vs green gas but are their any other ways to lower the fps?

Basically I want to be able to use it outdoors for skirmishes but to be able to use it indoors like Ive seen them used. If not Ill have to look for other options but I figure Ill ask first.

If you get the KJW M4 GBBR then there is an aftermarket part the you can swap in the bolt. you can adjust the FPS to your desired setting and switch between them at your will.... It only takes about 2 minutes to do. Its the velocity adjuster from Cradle Airsoft.

And these products would work with the WE SCAR correct?

For the WE rifles (M4, SCAR, PDW, ??M14??...etc) you've got a couple of options:
1. TCS assembly - CRAP, DO NOT BUY
2. RAtech Adjustable NPAS - works fine
3. Fixed mod - insert a spacer behind float valve...this will probably work on the latest batch of SCARs vs. the original M4's because of the length of threaded section of the rod

- I make my own float valves that are *cough* similar to RATech's. I do not sell them but I've got a couple of local guys trying them out.

All the mods for this system do 1 thing. Move the position of the float valve more forward or more back. More forward = less FPS...more back = more FPS. The adjustment range is huge...180fps - 500+. The difference between 350 and 400 on my setup is about a quarter turn of a #4-40 threaded screw.

IMHO...one thing is certain. Each gun needs to be set individually. I do not think that I can set a valve to a power level (say 350), take it out and drop it into another rifle. The variation shot to shot will be the same....the the average value will be anyware +/-10-40fps.

IMO...and I'm sure guys in either camp will disagree...if you want to pull a GBBR out of the box and shoot, then the WE will fit the bill. If you want to custom build your own, then the WA System based G&P is probably the better route to go. The "WA system" guns are the "builder's platform". Done all out, the G&P/Ino will out do the WE rifles...it's just there's usually a stiff price associated with getting there with a WA system based rifle. I have a WE and beat it up regularly...and love it. Would I want to build a uber G&P based gun? Yeah...I do (but just because they're cool too )

The uber gun would be Prime/Ino 2009 gun....G&P is only so-so....

The M14 is wait and see, since it seems to be quite different than all the current WEs...

this is swaying off topic, but the M14 with the whole charging handle assembly moving with each shot is a no-go with me.

I really, really do want one though...there must be a way to disconnect it after cocking the action.
