Famas SV hop up bucking.

Hey guys. I recently aquired a TM famas SV. Now this gun was bought about 4 years ago but never fielded. I took it out and noticed that the hop up adjustment does really not do very much. Now it was in about 5c weather.

I have desconstructed the gun *That was alot of screws btw* and have found that its not torn or anything of that nature. It is still rubber as well. I took some pictures but they really don't lend much to it.

Now I am curiouse. Does age effect the hop up? Is the "very minor effect" on the BB a condition of the Famas hop up unit? If it is is there any recommended tips to fix it? If not what brand would you recommend? This gun is staying stock for cqb use so the FPS is going to be rather low. Will that determine what kind of bucking to use?

Replace the hop up bucking, over time they wear out. (I change mine every 6 months on my VSR-10, every year on my AEG)
