Spring guide plug from a KJW KP06

Eees stook.

Really, it is. I can't poke the damn thing out like a standard TM 5.1 plug, as the slide is just too damn long for that. And to make things even more difficult on me, the guide rod is braced upon the hop up unit with a small peg (think TM 1911's - same thing, just adapted for a FLG on a Hi-Capa).

Maybe I just need a little more elbow grease (well, maybe not the grease - the spring is heavy enough as is to push the plug out of my fingers) or a little more time to attempt this repeatedly. But there must be an easier way to do this....

I'm adding someone else's photos of the KP06 field stripped. If you understand your own (clone) Hi-Capa, you should understand where I'm coming from on this one. If you don't believe me/don't understand wtf I'm talking about, ask and I can snap some horrible photos for you.

You won't get the rod out by pushing the plug in.

You probably have to unscrew the end of the rod inside the gun and push the rod out the front.

Oh wow. It is a two piece rod. I didn't even notice that.... yikes.

Yup. How right you are. Perfect. Thanks.

On a side note, I'm amazed at how well the slide/barrel/inner barrel all fit together - for a KJW. No slide wobble! Juicy is happy!

And what did we all learn from this?

Ask the retailer you bought it from if you need help

Hahaha - moral of the story? Yup. And for some reason, I just thought of fairy tales.

Thanks Styrak. Too bad not all of my TM 5.1 mags fit properly (but for some odd reason, 4 of the 7 do). And too bad the slide lock is a tight fit/doesn't offer the slingshot rack ability. God, that sounded like... I dunno, Pokemon or something for a second. "Pikachiu, use slingshot rack!"

... I need more sleep.
