Bought a used gun: Checking things out.

Bought a used KJW G23.

My first GBB.

Got the propane adapter and gassed up. I LOVE IT!

Here's the thing...

WHERE do I put the silicone drops?

Also, one mag leaks, I can hear it when I put the mags fill valve near my ear, but can't feel it to the touch.

How can this be remedied?

Also - sometimes the gun double feeds, or a BB just rolls out of the barrel.

I don't know if these are separate problems or related.

Also, I've noticed that once, of 2 full mags, the slide didn't stay back when the mag was empty.

What needs lubed?

I don't know when the last time the gun was used... I only shot 2 mags through.

Can guns be 'stale' from non-frequent use? I'm going to shoot a bunch through tomorrow to see what happens... maybe it just needs broken in again?

Drop a few...drops...of oil on the tip of the silicon tank, under the adaptor, every few mag fills.

Lube any contact parts. Where the slide meets the frame etc

Redwolf Airsoft has a maintenance video on their website as well as Youtube. Check it out. They basically take down a Glock and show you where to clean and lube. Helped me out.

As for your slide lock, I think there could be 2 problems;

1: The BB follower(the part that pushes the BB's through the feed tap) usually has a little notch at the top which engages the slide catch when you're out of rounds. That usually happens when there's too much plastic on the follower and the notch doesn't have enough room to move up.

2: Your mag catch might be worn/wearing out and a simple replace of the part would do?

Yup, great video that helped me a bunch, just... a little too late. Trial and error also works - that's what I did.

Your Hop-up or chamber might be out to lunch too. I know my USP was having an issue like that, and it turned out that the chamber was slightly out of place. A bit of jimmying and all was well.
