Im going to stop you right there. It was a starter gun, and sorry, I did not read the rest of your post, nor do I care to. But, I got it as a starter gun...So, yes, my fault, maybe I should of clarified:As a starter gun, why are they so looked-down uppon? JG is a shitty gun...? Wow, really? Oh...I guess the reviews and quality were wrong? Maybe I should have spend $600 not $300...Thanks!

Your ignorance is going to your fault on this site.

I never said anything in relation to purchasing starter guns, so that was totally out of the blue. For AEG's, I started out using a crappy CA M15a4 sportsline. (I had purchased a classic army m24 spring rifle as my first gun, was young and way over my head)

Now I own a fully upgraded G&G AK47 that shoots true.

But what i'm trying to say is, JG guns aren't really something to compare to with quality at all. You're trying to compare something of shitty quality with another thing of sub-standard quality. You're underage, and simply haven't experienced half, if not a fraction of what people know here. There have been people involved in this sport on this site before you popped out of your mothers crotch.

So please. Rather than trying to challenge every member on this site, sit back and learn what you can and be less hostile. The userbase here on ASC will give respect if they receive it. Acting like a whiny little kid (We have put up with thousands of them before you, a lot of them have gotten the same treatment as you had here) will get you nowhere.

Dude you don't even have the good JG. You have the shitty plastic one with plastic gearbox. So yes, your guns are both completely crappy because they are made out of plastic. They will last a few thousand rounds if you are lucky. But their performance will be utter crap if compared to a real airsoft gun. A good starter purchase is not the cheapest gun, its a more expensive one. Because the more expensive ones work without any hiccups for a long time.

Starter guns should not be cheap. If anything, they should be expensive. This is because, the more you spend, the more durable and higher quality product you are getting. An experienced airsoft player (and who is familiar with upgrading and tuning) can buy a cheaper gun, and make it perform well and be durable with a few upgrades.
A noob cannot, and should buy quality.

As the other people said, maybe it is firing for now, but when you'll go play some games, you might (and will) eventually have some parts that will break. At that point, if you have a well known quality gum (even cheaper ones but that are TM compatible), you have a lot of replacements parts readily available and you can keep replacing parts without changing your whole gun. The wal-mart guns, on the other hand, do not use those TM-compatible parts and use a proprietary system. You end up breaking one little think, and your gun is good for garbage. This is why it's worth investing a little more in a "normal" AEG.

"a lot of them have gotten the same treatment as you had here"

Pretty much me

It's somewhat like being born into poverty
You're eating stale bread and maybe slightly rotting food. You might have had a bad childhood and your parents don't spend as much on you as they should. It's all you've ever known. You can't miss 5 star courses, because how can you miss what you've never had. You turn 18 and start taking care of yourself. You get a job, you start making a living for yourself because you are responsible for yourself. Suddenly, the opportunities you never had as a child suddenly are all open for you. it isn't great but it seems magical compared to stale bread. You experience REAL food, and when you get far enough in life with enough money. You experience the best food in five star restaurants.

For the most part, guns you can get from MaoMart and Crappy Tire are very low end. Most have plastic gearboxes and low quality parts, most of which are proprietary (meaning you can't just use a standard AEG part), so when something breaks, it's almost impsooible to repair as parts aren't available. And they will break as they are very low quality in the grand scheme of the airsoft world.

There are some guns available at retail stores that are a decent beginner guns. Kracken AK's and Broxa MP5's make decent beginner guns. If they are gone over by a compitant gundoc, they can be made into a pretty good gun for the money.

Now, if you compare these to Classic Army, Tokyo Marui, ICS, etc. they are junk. The fit, finish and quality of parts and assembly just isn't there. For the extra money you spend to bring the low end stuff up to a higher end level, you may as well have just bought the high end to begin with. JG are ok, they've actually come a long way in a short time. A&K and AGM are decent for th emoney as well, but it's the whole quality thing all over.

Think of it like cars. If all you and your friends ever drove were Lada, Skoda and Trabant, you'd probably think there's nothing wrong with them. They're low cost, simple and do the job. But once you drive a BMW, Mercedes or AUDI, you realize the difference.

Pretty much stay away from and AEG with a plastic gearbox (other than STAR) as they will break in short order and parts are pretty much impossible to get. And remember, you get what you pay for. There's a reason these guns are cheap and it's not because they are made in China.

Okay kids, now where is the love? But seriously, CanadianM4? You are not going to make it very far here I don't think, with that attitude, and I am new to this thread, like, literally 2 minutes ago from now. I think you have the answer that you wanted, right?

But, everyone else...Why argue with the kid? I saw someone say something about the JG M4...How do you know what model it is...Other than CanadianM4 said that it was plastic, which, why yes, would made it the crappy model. I love my JG though...Was a b**** to get in metal though...Tokyo Marui metals are purchasable in China Town/Kensington market is where I think that I got mine CanadianM4. It will run you some $, but like (I can't remember his name) said, you just basically wasted about $100 to go towards something like the metal JG, Classic Army, Echoe 1 (which you, CanadianM4 has mentiones), or Tokyo Marui.
