About C7 rifle's C79 Sight
anyone familiar with C79??
how much will a genuine one cost normally?and are there any replica C79 sight on current market? cuz i saw a guy selling a C79 just for couples of bucks,i doubt its reliability... any ideas on that? thanks in advance. |

Yeah a genuine elcan is around 900 bucks, last time I saw.

They're really not worth spending the money for a real steel one... I much prefer Iron sights or an EOTech...

Like Panzer said, don't bother buying them. ACOG's are much better alternative and the repro's are getting better and better.

pugs, check out the Spectre DR, seems like it'll be a good sight an it's made by Elcan.

Yeah I've read up on it a bit... Seems pretty good only thing is that price tag... it's about 2x the price of a real EOTech

It's not bad when you factor in that the Specter has a 4x magnifier built into it.

End users have experienced issues with loss of zero after switching back and forth between 1-4X. I don't know why ELCAN chose to keep the elevation adjustment system that moves the entire scope as opposed to moving the reticle internally. That was one of the issues on the C79.
