I think its around 450 in general around here. MAA states 470 with .2.
What does the TB barrel boost it up to? I know stock it sits around 400 - 420. Edit: on another note. Any guides out there for converting real 1022 stocks to fit the thing? Last edited by Strelok; August 6th, 2011 at 14:38.. |

Yes. I just unscrewed them and rescrewed and tightened well. You also have have to make sure you use oil.

Unfortunately, the reliability of KJ mags has always been questionable, and for all those who doubted my negativity and criticism towards their mags, this is continued living proof of the crap rubber that KJ continues to use. If the possibility ever arises to get piles of the o-ring rubbers as standby, I'd highly recommend doing so, and storing them in a cool dry place in an airtight container.

Hm, How much do you think it'll kill gas efficiency with the bolt installed?

The gun is fairly simple to maintain, it can be taken apart with very little work, however you need to be careful of the 2 screws that hold the other barrel to the trigger group, the holes they go into can strip very easily. With duster the gun is more then gameable even with a TB, mine shoots around 400 give or take with duster and the RATECH TB in it, with the stock barrel it shoots around 380 on duster. It also gave good mag life with duster, I was able to get a full mag (filled with 22 rounds) off on duster while firing at a fairly rapid rate without it chugging down. I have not found a need to swap out any of the bolt parts yet and most likely wont until it fails. however with the abuse iv put my gun through after looking inside the gun everything looked fine, so sights of stress and very very very little wear. Just be sure to keep the gun oiled. I plan on slowly replacing my 10 JK mags with the RATECH Long mags and once i get my hands on some ill post a review about them as well. If anyone has any very specific questions feel free to pm me and i can help you as best i can. Im also in the works of putting together a full guide about the gun addressing everything from cleaning to the mag seal issue right down to the stock mag defect. |

Viperfish;
I also plan on using duster on my M1 Carbine KC-02. Let me know when you sell your mags (if you sell them) I will need a couple to fill my ww2 garand ammo belt. Yeah they fit nicely in the pouch of the ammo belt The guide will be welcome to!

Well I'm soon to be a owner
Guys I'm getting a little mixed up. On the Ratech web site there is a npas kit listed for the KC02 but it's also listed for a m4? is this a mix up? |

Mines in tommorow, hopefully. CP has had it sitting in winnipeg all day since 1:00AM yesterday. You would've figured they would take the two hours to send it over here to brandon.
Oh well... I have a plain old wood stock for the 1022 sitting here. got it for pocket change. Just gotta fit it for the bull barrel and that little tab on the back of the receiver. Hopefully there wont be any other fitting issues. |

OK.
So, got to fuck around with the gun on my lunchbreak. The gun cycled just fine for about 50 rounds before I started having a few weird issues: 1st being that the bolt catch wouldn't retract even with a full magazine inserted into the gun. I would have to remove the magazine, return the bolt to battery, insert the mag again and carefully cock it to load a single round, not far enough to lock the bolt again. It had fired fine after that, no bolt locking until the last shot. 50 rounds later, started getting an issue where firing the gun wouldn't lock the hammer back on its cycle. So it'd go bang, bolt jumps back and forth, chambers a round, but wouldn't lock the hammer back to fire the next shot. I have to take out the magazine, cock the weapon, insert it again, and bang. Tried regassing the magazine, still no dice. Back at work for now, wont be a good 4 hours yet before i can fiddle more. Helps appreciated! |

Are you sure the mag is seated properly? It's a bit finnicky about that.
Shove it up and wiggle it around, and shove up more. |

I was pretty sure I had. I'll have to try again.
Going out to the shop once i'm done here at work to fit the wood stock on it. Damn bull barrel, lol. I'll have to figure out how it seats normally and see what I can do to fix. |
