I figured I'd help out everyone else who bought the radio, here's a much more complete manual than what Dragon Red has, pretty much will explain everything the radio has to offer.
http://miairsoft.proboards.com/index...d=27594&page=1 Enjoy. |

The Dragon Red "manual" is pretty bland, and doesn't have any information on what any of the functions are, or what they do. It also doesn't really explain much of anything outside the basics, where as the one I wrote up pretty much explains everything about the radio.

Hi cgyarring
I was blind... Your manual is more complete... thank You so much Received today the radio, well it works... but it is a toy... it's good for airsoft... mine have some parts not wery well glued... the long antenna arrived with its connector detached... I am satisfied? yes and not... however for an airsoft skirmish semms to be good... a little delicate but good. Fake buttons are horribles

I really want to get DragonRed's DH PRC-148 MBITR radio but up to now I still could not figure out if I should change the panel connector on the radio to a 6 pin or change the connector on my PTT to a 5 pin cause Ill be using my Peltor COMTAC II.
According to Peabird from another website and I quote " i think this will work and be compatible, because the sixth pin is not neccessary when it comes to audio transfer - the sixth pin is only for sending/reciving additional data. My setup at the moment is a 6 pin Peltor Comtac ACH connected to a ALAN PMR radio via original PRC148 plugs with only 5 pins..." I'm really quite unsure at the moment to either leave it as it is or get an extension cable with a male 6 pin connector on the other end to hook it up to the Peltor's PTT which has a female 6 pin connector and a female 5 pin connector on the other end to hook it up to the male 5 pin panel connector on DragonRed's DH PRC-148 radio. So in between the Peltor COMTAC's PTT and the radio there's going to be a cable with a male 6 pin connector to hook it up with the Peltor PTT and a 5 pin female connector on the other end to hook it up to the radio. I'm quite hesitant to change the connector on the Peltor's PTT or the radio cause I might end up messing it. I'm just wondering if there's an existing extension cable with the above mentioned specification? Maybe somebody here who also bought DragonRed's DH PRC-148 radio and is using a PELTOR COMTAC II would like to give some feedback. I'd appreciate it. |

Hi Huang,
I have a Kenwood TK-3207 Radio and the antenna has broken; I intend to replace it with the whip/blade style that you offer with the PRC-148 Replica kits. Are the antennae available separately, and if so, so they operate using a BNC style connector; I suspect Kenwood use a sma connector for this model - can an adaptor be used? Regards, Ed |

Is this DRA MBITR the same as the GWS/Spartan ones? It looks to have similar specs .. could they came from the same factory and Spartan just did an "ECHO1"?

Features:
To make the radio works with mil headset, you need to get the MBITR mount connector( U-183/U or U-283/U) yourself and have the factory to install for you. Price: http://www.dragonredairsoft.com/airs...roductID=29195 |
