as for the Frag Vest... I always end up getting one of the shitty old ones in 2 sizes too big for me...
I did BMQ back in 06, was issued all the old gear - webbing, canvas tent material jacket, all that good old stuff.

Skip to three years later, when people straight out of basic now are coming out with full cadpat/gortex kit plus thing's like the tac vests. Hell, they don't want to issue you small packs unless your Army or in a high priority unit (even though the small packs suck), I got lucky with mine because it still listed me as army on the network, and not navy.

*shrug*

And before anyone mentions that the tact vests and our armor carriers suck, to which I'll have to agree to a point - it's what we have to use. Sure I'd love to be issued a nice CadPat MOLLE vest/armor carrier combo, but that's not what they're making for us.

Gents,

What's the latest info regarding these repo Fragmentation vests (FPV, body armour) you wanted from Matt?

My team have done more than 10 copies of Gen3 FPV frag vests in Olive Drab, but we are interested in some quantity of them in CADPAT Arid...
Is there a way where I can order some CADPAT Arid cordura fabric? or is it still possible to order to make some from Matt?

I will appreciate for your advices or help

Regars,
Alex

No. CADPAT material is a controlled item and can only be obtained by DND authorized manufacturers. They are not available to the general public.

Really? I've always found it relatively easy to get the material when I wanted. Hell my Son had his own custom cadpat uniform when he was just 5...now that he's outgrown the uniform, his sister will have it when she gets tall enough to wear it.

hmm need to read more of this thread to find "Matt" I'm in search of a carrier

hmm...how about the next for the "general public"?
http://www.rockywoods.com/Fabrics-Ha...lage-CADPAT-TW

but, unfortunatelly, they don't produce Arid version..

BTW,
Does anybody try to sheath the cordura basement with the layer of CADPAT Arid fabric (the same as for the making of uniform: shirts, pants e.t.c.) which is in uncontrolled sale?

And also,

I think you will have a hard time finding the velcro/stretchy straps for the armour as they are part of the armour, and there isn't an individual supply for those items. It's all one piece.

It is not the one piece... I am not going to steal armour or stolen parts of the armour vest .
I am looking raw materials: nylon webbing the same as you can find here or many other shops over the world, but I need in Desert tan. It is less popular colour, so it is often not in stock. Maybe someone knows already where it is and will help me and will save my time.

I will appreciate for the help

BTW, I bought already velcros in Desert tan (same as FPV body armour has). It is in a free sell.

No one said velcro in different colours wasn't for legal for sale...

And all I said was you probably wont be finding pre made straps for the armour, atleast nothing from the CF. If you can find the raw material for what you need why don't you just buy it and dye it the colour you want.

it is not easy to do and usually to dye the minimum order is a big lenght roll...firms are not interested in small orders

anyway, I've found some. What is closer to these straps - nylon webbing or polypropylene webbing? at the bottom on a stomach straps look more like a polypropylene, isn't it? Are they more elastic? but what about the shoulder straps?

The 2 inch stomach straps are elastic, as well as the 1 inch shoulder pad keepers.
